About the course
The ROAR Response to mental health in secondary schools will equip delegates with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to respond as a first line of response to mental distress in young people, as well as some useful resources that delegates can use.
ROAR Secondary covers modules such as an introduction to mental health (which can be used as a whole school awareness session), anxiety, low mood, depression, suicide, parental mental health, adverse childhood experiences, social and emotional development, self harm, eating disorders, adolescent brain development, and behaviour as a form of communication.
Each delegate will be given a comprehensive ROAR Manual with lots of resources they can use when working with young people.
ROAR Secondary – Roar Response
This course has been funded through Liverpool Learning Partnership and is therefore free for secondary education staff working in Liverpool.
This session will be delivered face to face. Once you have been accepted onto the course you will receive details of the training via email.
