ROAR Response to mental health for children and young people with additional needs a course for Liverpool school mental health leads, or any other school professional wanting to increase skills and understanding. The course assumes you have completed either ROAR Primary, or ROAR Secondary (or alternative).
The training course is run one day and covers five modules. The modules are; Labels and language, anxiety, sensory processing. Along with hidden risk factors to depression, and working with parents.
Children with additional needs are highly more likely to suffer from mental health problems: the training course explores the reasons this, along with providing ways to overcome some of these barriers and so we build resilience in children and young people.
